Dental Assistant (Part Time)

More than 5,000 people each year find support through our integrated model of care, but our impact extends far beyond the walls of our clinic. Make a Real Difference: Part-Time Dental Assistant (20 Hrs/Wk)
Join AHCH to deliver compassionate, holistic dental care where it is needed most. This role splits time between our clinic and field outreach using a harm-reduction model. Deep empathy for unhoused populations is a must.

Bonus:

Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH) offers a unique opportunity where we may cover Dental Assistant Training costs for interested candidates in exchange for a 2-year employment commitment, with a prorated arrangement if the commitment is not fulfilled.

We comply with all OSHA and CDC guidelines regarding PPE and have various procedures in place to safeguard employees.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Background in customer service or dental (MA, CNA, DA, etc)


• High School Diploma or GED


• Flexibility to work with multiple providers


• Ability to thrive in a complex healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program with current X-ray certification


• Experience working with underserved populations or people experiencing homelessness


• Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma informed philosophies


• Bilingual or Spanish Speaking
