Event Maintenance (Part-Time), Live Entertainment

Bon Secours Wellness Arena is looking for a dependable, hands on Part Time Event Maintenance team member to join our Operations team.

If you have general maintenance skills and are looking for something different from a typical part time job, this could be a great fit. You will work behind the scenes at concerts, sporting events, family shows, comedy events, and more, helping keep the arena safe, functional, and event ready.

This position offers flexible part time hours, a variety of work, and the opportunity to be part of live entertainment in the Upstate.

Responsibilities

• Onsite from pre-event set-up through the event assisting with set-up and general maintenance/repairs needs
• Respond promptly to all radio calls for maintenance issues during events
• Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs as needed throughout the venue
• Assist the conversion crew with chair removal and other post event tasks.
• Patch and repair ice between periods during hockey events
• May operate computerized system that monitor mechanical equipment and utility systems.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for each event in a timely and accurate manner.
• Identify and report any damage or maintenance issues of the equipment immediately to your supervisor.
• Assist with minor facility maintenance and repairs on non-events days as needed.
• Provide helpful, professional service to event personnel, clients, guests, and fellow team members.
• Ensure that all equipment and areas are clean and compliant with the organization's safety standards before and after every event. Report all unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.

• High School diploma or GED; 18 years of age
• 1+ years of general maintenance, facilities, construction, mechanical, or similar experience in a related position.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends based on event schedule
• Excellent understanding of cleaning and environmental safety protocols.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientated - cooperative attitude is a must.
• Must be able to follow instructions and easily adjust to changing priorities
• Must be able to work under deadlines/urgencies while maintaining accuracy and safety protocols.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.
• Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination
• Consistent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, moving furniture and equipment
• Ability to work in potential low lighting, loud noises, varied temperature ranges, and high crowd activity (during events)

PAY RATE: $13.00+ depending on experience

WORK SHIFT: Shift: average 6 hours; mainly evenings and weekends based on event schedule

SCHEDULING: Each month you will receive an upcoming Event Calendar with details on event dates/times, YOU select the dates you are able to work for the entire month.
