Facilities Cleaner (Part-Time)

Spirit Electronics is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented evening part-time Facilities Cleaner responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of our office and facility common areas. This position plays an important role in providing employees, customers, and visitors with a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and can independently manage daily cleaning responsibilities while maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility. General working hours will be starting time of 5:00pm or 6:00pm until 8:00pm or 9:00pm (Monday thru Friday). 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

General Office Cleaning

• Clean and maintain designated office area, private offices, conference rooms, hallways, reception areas, and shared spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain floors throughout designated areas of the facility.
• Dust and wipe down desks, countertops, shelves, windowsills, furniture, and other accessible surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles daily and replace liners as needed.
• Clean interior glass doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the reception area and conference rooms.

Restroom Cleaning and Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, countertops, mirrors, fixtures, and floors.
• Replenish restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other necessary items.
• Routinely inspect restrooms throughout the workday to ensure cleanliness and adequate supplies.
• Promptly address restroom cleaning needs and report plumbing or maintenance concerns to management.

Kitchen and Breakroom Maintenance

• Clean and sanitize kitchen counters, tables, sinks, and other shared surfaces.
• Maintain the cleanliness of employee breakrooms, dining areas, and shared kitchen spaces.
• Wipe down the exterior surfaces of appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee stations.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners as needed.
• Replenish kitchen and breakroom supplies as directed.
• Assist with cleaning and restoring common areas following employee lunches, meetings, and company events.

Cleaning Supplies and Facility Support

• Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Maintain organized and properly stocked cleaning supply areas.
• Properly use, store, and handle cleaning products in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Identify and report spills, safety hazards, damaged fixtures, or facility maintenance concerns.
• Assist with periodic deep-cleaning projects and additional cleaning needs as assigned.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in office cleaning, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial services preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and safe handling of cleaning products.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Professional, respectful, and courteous when interacting with employees and visitors.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect employee workspaces and company property.
• Willingness to assist with additional cleaning duties as business needs arise.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment, including vacuums, mops, and other basic cleaning tools.
• Ability to safely perform cleaning duties in designated office and common areas.

Additional Employment Requirements

• Successful completion of a background check, where applicable and consistent with company policy and applicable law.
• Verification of eligibility to work in the United States.
