Flavor Room Attendant Night Shift

OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos, Airheads, Dentyne, Trident and Bubblicious!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Flavor Room Attendant to join our growing team.   

Starting Pay: $26.00

Hours: Monday - Friday 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Flavor Room Attendant will independently lead the flavor room department, managing resources and ensuring preparation of color, flavor, ingredient, and minor ingredient blends are delivered to production on time and in compliance with procedures, safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Additional responsibilities include:

•    Maintain accurate inventory records for all flavor and color materials, including proper labeling, lot tracking, FIFO rotation, and expiration management.
•    Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate reorder needs to Procurement.
•    Ensure all materials are stored under defined conditions to preserve quality and meet food safety requirements.
•    Prepare liquid flavor blends and color mixtures strictly according to batch sheets and specifications.
•    Verify and document material weights before and after dispensing to ensure accuracy and traceability.
•    Prevent cross-contamination by following established handling and sanitation procedures.
•    Use Excel and SAP to verify dispensing accuracy, reconcile inventory, and track usage trends.
•    Stage and distribute flavors and colors to support daily production schedules across Belts, Bites, and Airheads.
•    Adjust material distribution as needed to support changing production demands while maintaining accuracy and control.
•    Collaborate closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve material-related issues quickly.
•    Ensure full compliance with food safety, GMP, and company policies.
•    Inspect materials routinely for expiration, condition, and compliance.
•    Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready flavor and color room at all times.
•    Secure the flavor and color room and ensure access is limited to authorized personnel only.

•    Support audits and investigations by providing accurate documentation and data when requested.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in inventory management, supply chain, or related field is a plus)


• 1–2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a food manufacturing environment


• Ability to learn and accurately perform SAP transactions


• Proficiency with Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting


• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications


• Strong organizational and time-management skills


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment


• Basic computer proficiency for recordkeeping and reporting


• Familiarity with food safety, GMPs, and allergen controls preferred


•  Experience handling proprietary or sensitive materials preferred
