General Laundry Worker-Mount Sinai West

Responsible for retrieval of soiled linen and distribution of clean linen products.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintains friendly, efficient Spirit of Service attitude towards customers, colleagues and clients.

• Retrieves soiled linens from designated areas.

• Distributes and stocks clean linen storage areas per established par levels.

• Receives and monitors clean linen from outside vendor.  Will weigh or count materials to established levels.

• Maintains clean and orderly storage areas.

• Stocks linen carts per established levels and distributes to floors and service areas to meet scheduled requirements.

• Adheres to departmental sanitation procedures.

• Perform all other related duties.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $24.61 - $26.46 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
