Schedule: 4 to 5 hours per day (approximately 20 to 25 hours per week)
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Aide to provide in-home care and support for an individual in a private residence. This part-time position requires approximately 4 to 5 hours each day and is ideal for a caregiver who is patient, attentive, and committed to helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide personal care assistance, including grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Prepare light meals and snacks
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and general tidying
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with mobility and safety monitoring
- Provide medication reminders
- Accompany client to appointments or errands as needed
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of one year of caregiving, home health, CNA, or related experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Current 2-Step TB Test (or TB screening documentation as required by state regulations) or a recent chest X-ray with clearance documentation
- Current physical examination completed within the last six (6) months
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional demeanor
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or related healthcare credential
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with chronic health conditions
- Familiarity with home care best practices and safety procedures
