JOB TITLE: Host/Hostess

CLASSIFICATION:  Part-Time/Seasonal/Hourly

POSITION:

Solitude is on the search for a personable and sociable host/hostess to provide a warm first impression as customers arrive for their dining experience. You will be accompanied by an unbeatable view and great people. The host/hostess is to greet guests with a friendly smile and demeanor and is responsible for seating guests. The host will also engage with guests to ensure their meal is as good as it should be. Assisting servers with bussing tables and running food will be a helpful and beneficial role to keep the restaurant running smoothly. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills
• Must be reliable and execute high-quality work while unsupervised
• Must have a friendly and outgoing personality
• Must be organized and have multitasking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses and or certifications such as Food Handler’s Certificate and Sips and Tips (if 21+)

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be knowledgeable about the menu and be able to make recommendations and answer guests’ questions
• Answer incoming phone calls and schedule reservations for customers
• Respond to complaints and help find a solution
• Clear and set tables
• Polish and organize silverware
• Help servers with anything they need i.e., running food, clearing plates, etc.
• Keep a clean, organized work environment to ensure the best customer experience possible
• Engage with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service
