Description

Black Prong Bar & Grill is looking for a friendly and energetic Host/Busser to join our team! This hybrid role is essential to creating a seamless dining experience for our guests by welcoming and seating them promptly while ensuring tables are cleared and reset efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

Hosting Duties:

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant's system.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Maintain a well-organized and efficient seating rotation.
• Answer phone calls and assist with takeout orders when necessary.
• Assist servers with guest needs as required.

Bussing Duties:

• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently between guests.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors and service stations.
• Assist with refilling water glasses and bringing additional table settings as needed.
• Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils in a timely manner.
• Support the service staff to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant setting is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
