Housekeeping Houseman -Laundry & Linen Part time

 The Housekeeping Houseman (Laundry & Linen Operations) is responsible for supporting the daily housekeeping operation with a primary focus on the hotel's laundry and linen program. This position is responsible for separating, washing, drying, folding, organizing, and distributing all hotel terry, while assisting with linen delivery, housekeeping support functions, and maintaining clean, organized work areas. Success in this role requires reliability, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to both guests and fellow team members. 

• Take primary responsibility for the hotel's terry inventory, including bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, bathmats, pool towels, and other terry items. 
• Separate, wash, dry, fold, stack, organize, and distribute all hotel terry according to established quality and cleanliness standards. 
• Sort soiled linen and terry by type and condition before laundering. 
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently. 
• Monitor terry inventory levels and communicate shortages or quality concerns to management. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry work area while following all chemical handling and safety procedures.
• Deliver clean linens, towels, guest room amenities, and housekeeping supplies to room attendants and linen closets throughout the hotel. 
• Collect and transport soiled linens, terry, trash, and recyclables from guest room floors and housekeeping areas. 
• Stock and organize housekeeping closets, storage rooms, and supply areas. 
• Remove dirty linen and trash from housekeeping carts and replenish supplies throughout the shift. 
• Assist Room Attendants by moving furniture, turning mattresses, delivering rollaway beds, cribs, and other guest-requested items. 
• Clean and maintain public areas, employee areas, back-of-house corridors, stairwells, service elevators, and housekeeping workspaces as assigned. 
• Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping service calls.
• Other duties as assigned

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Part-time position. Flex scheduled days and some Holidays as needed

Hourly Rate: $23.91

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent 

· Flexibility to work shifts

· Excellent organization skills

· Positive Attitude-Customer service oriented 

· Read and speak English

· Ability to follow instructions

· Able to lift 50 pounds

· Previous experience preferred but not necessary.
