From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital.  Laundry workers sort, inspect, count, laundered items received from outside laundry before storing on shelves or filling department requisitions. Launder workers foster a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support within our hospital. They interact with patients and their families, go beyond for patients and deliver superior customer service.

This is a part time rotating shift includes weekdays, weekends and rotating holidays at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing NY  11355-*The shift includes weekdays, weekends and holidays and requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.

This shift will rotate shifts between, days, evening and nights.

Preferred Criteria:

• Qualified candidates have extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First.

• Experience in the healthcare, hotel, restaurant or retail industry.

• A high school diploma or GED is highly desired, but not required.

Required Criteria:

• Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience.

• Ability to read, write and follow specific oral and written instructions.

• Manual dexterity to perform laundry activities. Ability to follow specific instructions and carry out designated assignments within a designated timeframe. Numerical ability necessary for conducting inventory of stock.

• Oral and written communications; planning and organization; teamwork.
