Hours: Part time: Tuesdays and Fridays- 16 hours a week

This position will play an important role in Kimble’s success in this area.  

Requirements

· Responsible for the efficient operation of commissary services at a specified Detention Facility.

· Receiving, separating, and preparing individual inmate commissary orders for distribution to inmates in the respective assigned housing location.

· Distributing individual commissary orders to inmates at times and locations as directed by the facility administrator.

· Properly handling shortages or damages for orders within company and facility policy.

· Caring for and maintaining any on-site products and keeping the work areas clean.

· Assisting in maintaining equipment necessary to carry out the commissary functions at assigned facility.

· Act as liaison with facility staff and inmates on a day to day basis.

· Work closely with the Site Manager to provide best in class service to the assigned facility including reporting service or relationship issues immediately.

Summary of essential job functions

· Represent the company in a positive manner at all times.

· Assist in ensuring overall efficiency of onsite commissary operation and client satisfaction.

· Ensure that all facility security regulations and procedures are adhered to by all company staff on site.

· Carry out duties as assigned by company management.

Minimum requirements

· Read and comprehend documentation written at a nationally accepted high school level.

· Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

· Have the ability to work in a secure corrections environment.

· Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.

Abilities required

· Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods

· Lift items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds to a height of 54 inches

· Ability to communicate verbally

· Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
