Part Number Coordinator - Part-Time

Job Summary:
The Part Number Specialist will report to the Supply Chain Materials Supervisor and be responsible for creating all new part numbers requested by numerous departments and maintaining accurate and up-to-date bills of materials. This individual will work in conjunction with many departments, such as Product Management, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Product Design & Development, Production, Customer Service, Finance, and IT.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Create new part numbers daily at the direction of a Product Manager or as required for Order Entry.

·         Ensure accuracy of fields assigned on the part number records and collaborate with cross-functional teams to find solutions if incorrect.

·         Maintain the bill of materials for in-house manufactured product and ensure accuracy.

·         Maintain and organize feature option tables.

·         Work with Purchasing and Production Planner to ensure all planning parameters set on items are accurate.

·         Assign labor rates with direction from Finance to ensure cost accounting is accurate on part numbers.

Qualifications and Skills:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as business, supply chain, or operations is preferred. 

·         Prior experience in data management required.

·         NetSuite experience preferred.

·         Proficient in Excel

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing data.

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills
