Job Description - Part-time Auction Cashier

Job Description

The Part-time Auction Worker is responsible for assisting with the administration of our onsite auctions. This person will handle transactions as auction attendees pay for their purchases. Positive client interaction is an important facet of this job, in addition to handling the processing of payments. Hours are late afternoons, evenings and weekends. This is perfect for those looking to make additional money, or who love and want to learn more about the auction business.

DUTIES INCLUDE

-Serving as cashier for onsite auctions

-Performing other duties as requested by the supervisor and president

-Excellent customer service

-Organization and time management

-Top-notch attention to detail

-Excellent verbal and written communication

Must be able to juggle several tasks simultaneously, using good judgment in working with customers and prioritizing and completing work assignments.

Qualifications

This person must be:

-Someone who enjoys auctions

-Comfortable with technology

-Dependable

-Honest

-Good with people

-Neat in appearance

-Good with details and follow-through

-Organized

GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES

  1. Supports the mission of McCulloch Systems to offer a comprehensive set of services needed to effectively relocate people.
  2. Reports to immediate supervisor, department manager, or executive director.
  3. Attends work as scheduled, maintains acceptable personal appearance / hygiene and keeps the work area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
  4. Understands and complies with job performance requirements.
  5. Demonstrates good judgment in the performance of job duties.
  6. Supports customer service efforts and initiatives while exhibiting quality customer service behavior.
  7. Demonstrates kindness, tact, and courtesy toward all customers, family members, colleagues, outside vendors, and other visitors to McCulloch Systems.
  8. Treats all matters concerning the company, facilities, staff and customers with strict confidentiality.
