Part-Time Automotive Dealership Cashier

Great Lakes Hyundai of Columbus is a dynamic and customer-focused automotive dealership committed to providing exceptional service to our customers.  We are looking for a friendly, detail-driven Cashier to be the welcoming face of our dealership.  This role will handle payments, support customers and assist with light administrative tasks. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Process payments for service repairs, parts purchases, and other transactions (cash, credit/debit cards, checks)
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift
• Reconcile daily transactions and prepare deposit reports
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and reports
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to appropriate departments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier/work area
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned by management
• Must have evening and weekend availability

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior cashier experience preferred (automotive experience a plus)
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with computers and office software (MS Office, CDK a plus)
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Basic knowledge of automotive services and terminology is preferred.
