BERKELEY PART-TIME FAMILY ASSISTANT
No-Screens Household | Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish); Tagalog or Dutch a Plus
Schedule: Part-Time, 20 Hours/Week (Monday–Friday, 4pm–8pm or 3pm-7pm, with flexibility as needed)
Location: Berkeley, CA
Compensation: $45–$50/hour, depending on experience; 20 hour per week guarantee
This is a truly special opportunity to support a warm, kind, and down-to-earth family in Berkeley. They’re raising a preschool-aged child in a calm, intentional home that values mutual respect, open communication, and mindful living — including a no-screens household where creativity, connection, and outdoor time are prioritized over digital devices.
With Mom traveling regularly for work, they’re looking for a proactive, thoughtful Family Assistant to help keep things running smoothly and bring a steady, positive presence to the home. You’ll partner closely with Dad to manage daily routines, support their child with care and engagement, and take on essential household tasks that make family life more peaceful and organized.
Language skills are highly valued in this home — English/Spanish bilingual candidates are preferred, and Tagalog or Dutch fluency would be a huge bonus. The family appreciates cultural diversity and would love to expose their child to multiple languages through natural daily interactions.
This is a role for someone who finds joy in the little things: preparing a simple, nourishing meal, keeping the household flowing, and being a consistent, caring presence during the rhythms of family life.
You’ll be joining a household that truly values kindness, clear communication, and mutual respect. If you enjoy supporting families, love working with children, and take pride in creating a well-run, grounded home environment, this could be a wonderful fit.
