Part Time I-Ed Educational Assistant 2026-2027 School Year

The I-ed Educational Assistant works one-on-one or in small groups of students to support academic interventions and to promote student success in their classroom. Working under the supervision of a licensed I-ed faculty member, the I-ed Educational Assistant is responsible for ensuring students with diagnosed learning, physical and social-emotional needs are supported as they receive best-practice instruction. This position will support the school’s ability to help those with existing and emerging needs to meet their God-given potential and succeed within the framework of RCS and the I-ed standards. Student tutoring, parent communication, helping teachers in student I-ed plan management, and supporting the student’s academic organization will be prioritized. Student life skills will be prioritized and supported to ensure classroom management, safety, and supporting the student’s unique giftings.

ABOUT RCS:

Resurrection Christian School is a private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado. Founded in 1998 by Rez.Church, Resurrection Christian School serves students from Pre-K through 12th grade. RCS is the largest Christian school in Northern Colorado, serving nearly 900 families from 19 communities over a 25-mile radius. School enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is approximately 1,350 students. RCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI); AdvancED. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build Christ-centered relationships with students, families, and staff
• Provide support in multiple settings including the general education classroom, a small group setting, or individualized learning environment.
• Responsible for providing one-on-one support directly to an individual student in the areas of academics, behavior management, and life skills.
• Provide modified lessons or assignments, as needed.
• Attend and observe recess, specials, chapel, and lunch with the student- interacting as needed. 
• Responsible for consulting and communicating with classroom teachers, parents, and I-ed staff to ensure growth and safety in the room. 
• Participate in team meetings and professional development, attending training by I-ed staff, along with receiving district training for Crisis Prevention Intervention.
• Direct report on data and progress to the Individualized Education Director.
• The student is unable to use the restroom independently and utilizes a motorized or non-motorized wheelchair for the majority of the day, and does require assistance.

• Skilled at adapting to student needs within changing environments.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations set forth by the RCS Employee, I-ed, and Student-Parent Handbooks and ACSI Practices in Christian Schools.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google suite, and other department-related software packages.

A high school diploma is required. Experience in supporting neurodiverse students in any setting is preferred. A special education license or endorsement is preferred. 

Working knowledge of best practices and strategies, as well as the understanding of diverse student learning styles and needs is preferred. 

Must have a character of patience and a deep love for students. Top candidates would thrive on adapting to changing environments and priorities. This candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical for this role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This I-ed EA position requires intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting of up to 60 lbs on occasion. Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time.  Must possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
