Part-Time Nanny

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Ossining, NY (Westchester County); family relocates to South Salem, NY (Westchester County) in mid-November
Compensation: $30/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 25 hours/week
Commitment Level: Long-term (multi-year)

Position Overview
A warm, welcoming family in Westchester County is seeking a dependable, experienced part-time nanny for a long-term, multi-year role. Care will focus mainly on their 1-year-old son. Their 3-year-old son attends preschool during the day. The ideal candidate is attentive, nurturing, and a strong communicator who can keep the baby safe, engaged, and on a healthy routine. The family is relocating from Ossining to South Salem in mid-November. The new home sits on a walking trail, so there will be plenty of stroller outings. Candidates must be comfortable working at both locations.

Benefits: Guaranteed hours per week, one week of paid vacation, 2 paid sick leave, all federal holidays paid

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, engaging, and safe care for a 1-year-old
• Support and help establish the baby's nap routine as it transitions
• Prepare meals and snacks for the baby
• Handle the baby's laundry and keep his clothing organized during nap times
• Take the baby on daily stroller walks and outdoor outings
• Plan age-appropriate play and developmental activities
• Take occasional local outings, such as to the library, in the family's vehicle once trust is established
• Communicate clearly and consistently with the family about the day, routines, and any concerns

Requirements:

• Proven long-term nanny or childcare work history
• Experience caring for infants and toddlers
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid driver's license
• Comfortable with a cat in the home
• Able to work at both the current Ossining home and the South Salem home after the move
• Strong, proactive communication skills
• Respectful, reliable, and punctual
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
