Rodeo Cannabis Co. is a licensed cannabis operator with dispensary locations in Rocky Hill. We are one of Connecticut's few vertically integrated cannabis companies, operating our own outdoor farm and manufacturing facility. Position Summary

As a Dispensary Associate at our Rocky Hill location, you are the face of Rodeo Cannabis. You will guide customers through our product selection, ensure a safe and compliant retail environment, and contribute to a culture of excellence on the sales floor. This role requires a passion for cannabis education, strong attention to detail, and the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a professional, knowledgeable, and friendly manner


• Educate customers on cannabis products, consumption methods, strains, and effects


• Process transactions accurately using Dutchie POS and maintain cash handling compliance


• Verify customer age and eligibility in accordance with Connecticut DCP regulations


• Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies promptly


• Restock shelves, organize product displays, and ensure a clean retail environment


• Stay current on Rodeo's product offerings including flower, edibles, vapes, and concentrates


• Adhere to all state-mandated compliance requirements and internal SOPs


• Support team members during peak traffic periods and high-volume shifts


• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older (required by Connecticut state law)


• High school diploma or equivalent required


• 1+ year of customer-facing retail, hospitality, or service industry experience preferred


• Strong verbal communication skills and a consultative, patient approach with customers


• Basic math and cash handling ability


• Comfortable navigating point-of-sale systems and tablet-based tools


• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs


• Must be available to work weekends and holidays - this is a firm requirement


• Prior cannabis industry experience a plus but not required; training provided

Schedule & Availability

• Part-time positions available


• Dispensary hours include evenings, weekends, and select holidays


• Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) is required for all applicants


• Holiday availability is required - our dispensary operates on most major holidays


• Shift schedules are communicated in advance; flexibility is appreciated
