Part-time Shipper / Receiver

Berendsen is looking for a shipping/receiving clerk to work in our Sacramento branch from 10:00 - 3:00 daily (25 hours a week)

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The candidate must be fluent in warehouse practices such as:

• Receiving goods, unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers; filling bin locations.


• Verify items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing/count to purchase order and packing list; noting and reporting discrepancies.


• Document items received by recording identifying information.


• Preparing shipments by pulling product, assembling, packing, and labeling packages or containers.


• Packing finished goods for international shipments.


• Shipping of material transfers between branches.


• Working with carriers to schedule freight pick-ups.


• Filling out Bills of Lading and processing shipments via carrier shipping tools and portals.


• Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.


• Cycle Counts

In addition, the candidate will be in communication with local couriers and will contact customers for pick-ups.  There may be light inside sales activities in addition to shipping and receiving.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the day


• Forklift license (preferred)

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
