Part-Time Substitute Teacher (Preschool/Daycare) - $16-$17/hr

We’re hiring Part-Time Substitute Teachers to support preschools and daycare centers (ages 0-5) - this role focuses on early childhood, not traditional K-12 classrooms.

Earn $16-$17/hr (up to $136/day) with flexible, part-time work that lets you choose when and where you work. No teaching license, lesson planning, or grading required.

We are hiring Substitute Teachers in Port Washington, WI and surrounding areas including Grafton, Saukville, and Newburg in Ozaukee County.

Why this role is different:

Pay & Incentives:

• $16-$17/hr (up to $136/day)


• Up to $300 in bonuses in your first 90 days ($100 for your first 8 hours in week one)


• Ongoing hour milestone bonuses up to $250


• Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel

What You’ll Do:

• Fill in for teachers in preschools and daycare centers


• Support children ages 0-5 through play and early learning activities


• Follow classroom routines and lesson plans provided by the center


• Lead activities such as arts & crafts, music, meals, and outdoor play


• Partner with teachers and center staff to maintain a safe, engaging environment

Requirements:

• At least 18 years old


• High school diploma or equivalent


• 6+ months of experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare center or preschool, or through volunteer work in an organized community program such as a church nursery or summer camp


• Able to pass a background check


• Reliable transportation

Preferred (not required):

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential


• Coursework in early childhood education or child development
