Job Description - Parts Shuttle Driver (Night Shift)


The Parts Shuttle Driver is responsible for driving truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations.  Start time 11PM. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

· Responsible for nightly parts delivery and pick-up following timely schedule

· Safely load and unload merchandise before and after transport

· Safely transport merchandise to branch locations and drop boxes

· Maintain DOT and Company required logs and reports.

· Service and maintain truck as required, ensuring truck fluid levels and tires are in best operating condition and truck is clean

· Assist other employees at warehouse by loading and unloading trucks as needed


Requirements

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) year certificate from college or technical school; One year     related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must have a CDL driver’s license and clear driving record.

· Ability to work effectively with tools and equipment.

· Must be able to make accurate independent decisions, perform duties and make judgments in a timely manner.

· Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondences and memos.

· Ability to effectively apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

· Minimum one (1) year delivery driving experience preferred

· Good working knowledge of general warehouse procedures and practices

· Ability to manually load and unload trucks as required

· Ability to operate forklifts and obtain certification

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

Must be flexible in work schedule.

 

Required travel up to 100%.

 

Will be required to drive for extended periods of time.
