Position Overview

Affirmed Home Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem school-based nursing opportunities with the Phillipsburg Board of Education. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy working in a supportive school environment and are passionate about providing high-quality care to students across all grade levels.

We currently have immediate needs for substitute school nursing coverage throughout the Phillipsburg school district. In this position, you will support a variety of short-term and long-term assignments, ensuring continuity of care when district nurses are out.

Additional opportunities may include one-on-one student support and bus run assignments, depending on district needs.

Key Responsibility

• Serve as a substitute school nurse — Provide coverage for school nurses during absences, ensuring safe and consistent student health support

Pay Rate

• RN: $39–$41/hr

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN License

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience in home care or acute care preferred

• Current BLS Certification

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Valid driver’s license preferred

• Physical exam within the past 12 months

• PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X‑ray within 5 years)

• Proof of MMR immunization within 10 years

• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical exemption
