Job Description - PT Nanny Manager - JC 0399 - River Forest - 20 Hours

Job Description: Family in River Forest is seeking a part-time Nanny Manager. This person should be organized, efficient, and responsive with strong communication skills. Start January-February 2025.
Compensation: $25-$28/hr. (depending on experience) + PTO, vacation, sick time.
Schedule: Guaranteed 15-20 hours. Flexible on exact days/times. Family would like Monday-Thursday, 2:00pm-6:00pm.
Job Details and Requirements
  • The family has 3 young children, ages 8, 6, and 4. Childcare responsibilities will include taking to and dropping off at activities, supervising homework, providing snacks and/or dinner. If the children are off school all day, Nanny Manager will develop a fun daily plan.
  • Housekeeping responsibilities will vary but may include the following:
    • Household errands & grocery shopping. Making returns and ensuring refunds.
    • Housekeeping: family laundry/ironing, taking out trash/recycling, loading/emptying dishwasher, sanitizing kitchen surfaces, dusting/vacuuming/sweeping rooms as needed, (Family has a cleaning service biweekly and will not require any deep cleaning).
    • Organizing: Tidying up rooms, making beds, organizing closets, and helping maintain a neat home environment.
    • Keep track of cleaning supplies and household items needed in the home. Restock items when needed.
    • Cooking/Meal Prep (about once a week):
      • Planning menus according to the household's dietary preferences and restrictions.
      • Creating grocery lists based on meal plans and household needs.
      • Preparing and cooking snacks and meals, primarily dinner.
  • One parent works from home MWF. Nanny Manager should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Nanny Manager or similar role is desired.
  • Candidate should drive and have a safe driving record. Family will provide a vehicle.
  • Candidate must be:
    • Reliable – will arrive on time each day.
    • Proactive and willing to learn. Will step in to keep household running smoothly.
    • Detail oriented and highly organized. Able to juggle multiple tasks efficiently, such as preparing meals while managing household chores
  • Must have strong communication skills and be open to feedback.
  • Should be capable of handling the physical demands of housekeeping and cooking, such as lifting, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
Can maintain confidentiality and respects the privacy of the household members.
