Registered Nurse - Contingent

The Registered Nurse position is part of the Emergency Department and is a contingent position working approximately 24 hours per two-week pay period. The shift will vary, with a schedule that may include a combination of 12- and 8-hour shifts. This position includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. This RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department while also supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Current Ohio RN license required

• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required

• Two or more years of hospital critical care or Emergency Department experience preferred

• Ability to recognize and interpret electrocardiographic information

• Knowledge and experience managing ventilator patients

• Skilled in setting up and assisting with invasive procedures

• Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism

• Strong communication skills, independent thinking, and commitment to patient-centered care

• Focused on customer service, teamwork, and confidentiality

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and assist other departments as assigned

• Assess patient needs, plan and coordinate care, and evaluate outcomes efficiently and safely

• Facilitate collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery

• Adhere to all nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements

• Promote patient advocacy, safety, and improved health outcomes

• Support teamwork with physicians and other personnel to maintain high-quality care
