Registered Nurse, RN (Part Time-Nights) - Labor and Delivery

Here’s What You Need

·         Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required

·         BSN preferred

·         1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting or completion of an RN residency program (Required)

·         At least 1 year of RN L&D experience (Strongly Preferred)

·         RN – Registered Nurse (Required upon hire)

·         BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required prior to providing independent patient care; maintained quarterly)

·         NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Essential) (Required within 90 days of hire)

·         NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Required within 90 days of hire)

·         ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required within 90 days of hire)

·         CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (Required within 90 days of hire; maintained annually)

·         IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

o   If newly hired with experience in perinatal nursing and never taken IFM\: Required within 6 months

o   If no experience in perinatal nursing\: Required within 18 months

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

·     Assesses the patient

·     Plans the care of the patient

·     Intervenes as appropriate

·     Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

·     Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

·     Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

·     Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Work location\: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours\: Part Time- 24 Hours, Nights 7\:00pm – 7\:00am, Rotating weekends
