Sr. Architectural CD Specialist (Part Time, Utah)

We are looking for a Sr. Architectural CD Specialist to collaborate remotely with our Utah-based client, a growing architectural practice working primarily on residential projects, including larger-scale and high-end custom homes. This is not a role for someone who needs step-by-step direction. We're looking for someone who receives markups, design direction, and reference projects and independently translates them into accurate, well-developed drawings, with the construction knowledge to handle a high level of detailing. What you'll do:
Develop and update architectural drawings and complete construction document sets using Revit across the SD and CD phases.
Develop 3D models and SD sets, including floor plans, sections, and elevations.
Translate markups, sketches, and design direction into accurate architectural documentation.
Prepare and coordinate floor plans, elevations, sections, demolition plans, phasing plans, and construction details.
Prepare permit sets to present to local authorities and complete CD sets for general contractors.
Develop detailed documentation for high-end residential projects, with a higher level of detailing than typical residential remodels.
Review previous projects, templates, and office standards to independently apply the firm's established documentation practices and preferred workflows.
Coordinate architectural details and ensure consistency across drawing sets.
Accurately pick up redlines and incorporate review comments and revisions efficiently across the SD and CD phases.
Support smaller residential additions and renovation/remodeling projects when required.
Assist with architectural visualization and rendering when needed.
What you must have:
Advanced proficiency in Revit.
Extensive experience producing construction documents, including complete permit and construction drawing packages.
Experience working on single-family residential projects, preferably high-end/custom homes.
Strong understanding of residential construction methods and detailing.
Knowledge of wood-frame construction and the coordination between wood and structural steel framing.
Proven ability to interpret architectural markups and independently translate them into drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
An advanced English level.
High level of autonomy, strong self-management skills, and the ability to work with limited day-to-day supervision.
Flexibility to adapt to a variable workload depending on project needs.
A great plus:
Experience working on high-end custom homes and larger residential projects.
Architectural visualization and rendering experience.
Experience with D5 Render or similar visualization software.
Experience supporting both new construction and residential renovation projects.
