The EHE's Office of Engagement, Discovery, and Global Education (EDGE) seeks a .50 Research and Engagement Associate -EDGE to provide and support for the education, outreach and engagement efforts for the College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE) with the possibility of a full-time appointment in the future based upon external funding. Research Lead Technician will collaborate on funded projects including contractual and revenue-generating activities. In addition, Research Lead Technician will work with others in the office to develop and promote projects that support education, leadership, community or global engagement and facilitates and encourages collaborative partnerships for research, training, and professional development.

There are no teaching or service obligations, although Research Lead Technician is expected to be an active participant in the EDGE office and EHE activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with staff in EDGE to develop, collaborate on, and effectively complete EDGE funded and contractual projects. Supports research and data collection and creates reports related to projects.
  • Assists with creating and facilitating new training and professional development related to education, leadership, community or global engagement.
  • Works in concert with staff in the EHE EDGE office in university and community settings, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; 5 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 1 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.

Desired qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in education or a closely related field.
  • Strong methodological training (qualitative, quantitative, or both)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team
  • Demonstrated research expertise
  • Interest in working with K-12 schools and community organizations
  • Interest or experience in publications including briefs, reports and scholarly articles related to education, leadership, community or global engagement.
