Research and Data Analysis Assistant

Hours: 10 - 20 hours per week

Pay: $25 per hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled candidate to join our team as a Graduate Student Assistant. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in our ongoing research projects, working closely with the research team to collect, clean, process, and analyze data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with research staff to understand data needs for projects.
• Collect data from various sources ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Clean and preprocess data to prepare for analysis.
• Utilize Python programming to develop scripts for data manipulation and analysis.
• Conduct statistical analyses and interpret results.
• Assist in the development of data models and algorithms.
• Manage and maintain databases, ensuring security and confidentiality.
• Prepare reports and visualizations to communicate findings to the research team.
• Stay up-to-date with latest data analysis techniques and Python libraries.
• Dedicate 10-20 hours per week to research activities, with flexibility to accommodate academic responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a graduate student.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib).
• Solid understanding of statistics and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Prior experience with data collection and analysis in a research setting is a plus.
