Job Summary
This position provides an exciting opportunity to join the Center for Cellular Profiling Core at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The Center supports researchers across the Longwood Medical Area, including Harvard Medical School, in conducting translational studies. Our team specializes in cutting-edge technologies such as flow cytometry cell sorting, high-dimensional analysis, single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics to advance scientific discovery.
Under the leadership of Kevin Wei, MD, PhD, the Center employs a multidisciplinary approach to tackle complex biological questions through innovative methods and platforms.
Conducts complex research projects, committed to the field and the scope of the particular research study. Works as part of a research team. Exhibits the ability to contribute independently to scientific endeavors. Will perform independent research requiring excellent application of professional judgment, interpretation of experimental results, innovation of new approaches, and preparation of research for presentation and publication
Essential Functions
-Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
-Investigates, creates, and develops new methods and technologies for research advancement.
-Improves job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
-Develops proposals and study plans and coordinates the institutional and external reviews of these proposals.
-Supports staff to ensure the successful conduct of assigned clinical studies consistent with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies.
-Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using advanced statistical techniques.
-Supports staff to ensure the successful conduct of assigned clinical studies consistent with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies.
-Investigates, creates, and develops new methods and technologies for project advancement.
-Responsible for preparing summaries of laboratory studies for meeting presentations and publications.
