The lab of Emre C Koksal, Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, seeks a Research Technician.  The position will offer competitive salary and benefits.

The Research Technician will assist in the development of a comprehensive framework to identify, understand, and mitigate risks impacting DHL operations. This effort includes assisting with the collection and analysis of cybersecurity events and ticket data recorded at DHL, integration of this data with other major operational events, and the cleaning, filtering, and visualization of datasets to enable meaningful inference. Basic inference tools and techniques will be applied to uncover causal relationships, analyze resource utilization, and predict future events. The project will also result in participation in the drafting of two research papers submitted to major conferences and/or peer-reviewed journals.

Conducts cybersecurity event and ticket data collection recorded at DHL. Integration with other major events

Assists in cleaning, filtering, and visualization of data for inference

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in data science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related topics in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Preferred: Master’s Degree: Expertise in data analytics, data visualization via Power BI
