SENIOR SERVICES PROGRAM ASSISTANT (Part Time)

The City of Bowie is seeking applicants for the part time position of Senior Services Program Assistant. The ideal candidate will have skills in planning and coordinating creative activities, local day trips, and/or other recreational programs.  Experience working with older adults is preferred.  Strong customer service and computer skills are required.  Flexible daytime hours, Monday – Friday and some Saturdays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• 1 year of customer service


• 1 year general office/clerical experience


• Proficiency in commonly used office software programs (Microsoft Office Suite)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with planning and implementing recreational, educational, and cultural programs for older and active adults


• Experience working with older adults


• AED/CPR Certification. Must be able to attain certification within 3 months of hire

Salary:  $23.49 Per hour
