Job Description - Speech-Language Pathologist (Pediatric) Full-Time or Part-Time

Empower Families. Practice Meaningfully. Build Your Ideal Caseload.

Pediatric Interactions is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about helping children and families thrive through meaningful, family-centered therapy.

For nearly 25 years, Pediatric Interactions has served children and families throughout Lake County. As we look toward the future, we are intentionally creating a smaller, more focused practice built on strong family partnerships, clinical excellence, and therapist autonomy.

We are rebuilding a therapist-led practice designed around quality care rather than productivity quotas. This opportunity is particularly appealing for clinicians seeking an alternative to large corporate therapy organizations and who value professional trust, flexibility, and meaningful relationships with the families they serve.

If you value flexibility, independence, collaboration, and high-quality care, we would love to meet you.

Areas of Practice

Our therapists have opportunities to work with children in a variety of specialty areas, including:

  • Early communication and language development
  • Autism and Gestalt Language Processing (GLP)
  • Speech sound disorders, articulation and Childhood Apraxia of Speech
  • AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Pediatric feeding disorders
  • Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders

Clinicians are encouraged to develop and expand specialty areas that align with their interests and expertise.

What You'll Do

  • Provide evaluation and treatment services
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's strengths and needs
  • Build strong partnerships with families and actively engage caregivers in the therapy process
  • Monitor progress and make recommendations regarding frequency, continuation, or discharge of services
  • Collaborate with physicians, educators, early intervention providers, and other professionals
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation
  • Manage scheduling and rescheduling needs within your caseload
  • Communicate proactively with families and team members

What Makes This Position Different

At Pediatric Interactions, therapists have:

  • Flexibility in scheduling and caseload management
  • Clinical autonomy and professional trust
  • Administrative support for onboarding, insurance, billing, and authorizations
  • Access to mentorship and clinical consultation
  • Opportunities to develop specialty areas of interest
  • A collaborative team environment without micromanagement
  • Access to assessments, therapy materials, and clinical resources
  • Continuing education budget and professional development opportunities

Benefits for Full-Time Team Members

  • Competitive compensation
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Clinical mentorship and support
  • Access to therapy resources and materials
  • Health insurance contribution
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Continuing education budget

Our Mission: Empowering Each Family to Help Their Child Meet Their Potential

Our goal is to provide flexibility for clinicians while ensuring families receive consistent, high-quality care. We are looking for team members who share that vision and want to help shape the future of Pediatric Interactions.

This position is ideal for therapists seeking long-term balance, meaningful clinical work, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing specialty practice.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • CF candidates with strong pediatric interest encouraged to apply
  • Experience with pediatric speech-language therapy, AAC, feeding, and/or myofunctional therapy preferred
