SV036 - Part-Time Nanny - Upper East Side

A warm and engaged family on the Upper East Side is seeking a part-time nanny to join their established care-giving team and help care for their four children, ages 5, 3.5, 2, and 6 months.

This is a team-oriented role within a well-supported household, and the ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating with other caregivers while maintaining consistency, professionalism, and clear communication. The parents are deeply invested in raising respectful, emotionally grounded children and are seeking someone who approaches nannying as a true profession and long-term career path. 

The schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The hiring timeline is ASAP, though the family is committed to waiting for the right long-term fit.

• Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for four young children.

• Maintain calm, firm, and respectful boundaries.

• Support afternoon transitions during the busiest hours of the day (approximately 4:00–6:00 PM).

• Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities and teach social graces and manners.

• Prepare simple meals and assist with light child-related tidying.

• Maintain a peaceful, structured home environment rooted in trust and consistency.

• Extensive experience caring for multiple children, ideally in structured private homes.

• Deep knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and illness awareness.

• Calm, emotionally regulated, and naturally nurturing presence.

• Professional, discreet, and polished in demeanor.

• Comfortable holding firm boundaries without harshness.

• Educational mindset; ECE certification or true career nanny background strongly preferred.

• Comfortable working in partnership within a care-giving team and hands-on parents.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Strong references and background screening required.

• Competitive hourly rate of $35 - $50 dependent on experience (overtime applicable).
