Swim Instructor (Part-Time)

Are you a strong swimmer? Do you enjoy teaching others about swimming and pool/aquatic safety? If so, the YMCA of Central Massachusetts, Montachusett Community Branch is looking for you to join our amazing Aquatics Department! We are currently seeking year-round Swim Instructors who want to be part of our team!

Swim Instructors are responsible for the teaching skill and technique to a vast array of ages while maintaining a safe, friendly pool environment for our members, well-being, and progress of program participants.

• Possession of current certifications required
• CPR/AED with First Aid
• Must have Swim Instructor certification or willing to earn swim instruction certification
• WSI or one year of experience teaching swim lessons preferred

Schedule: Typical hours for group lessons are on Saturdays – and possibly group lessons on Monday afternoons depending on instructor availability.

Available Shifts: Please tell us your availability! Preference for being able to work Saturdays 10:30 am - 12:45 pm and/or Mondays 4 - 5:05 pm

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $15.00/hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities to all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave

**Group Lessons compensation is the same as Lifeguard Compensation but Private Lessons compensation is higher.
