Job Description - TEMPORARY - Part-Time - Front Desk Receptionist


JOB TITLE:            Receptionist
DEPARTMENT:     General Administration
REPORTS TO:       General Manager
FLSA:                     Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist is responsible for managing the service of members and guests. Provide excellent phone communications, patience, and leadership skills. Manages the reservations systems and event billing. Provides the highest level to members and employees and guest needs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet and welcome guests.
  • Answer questions and address complaints.
  • Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages.
  • Receive letters, packages etc. and distribute.
  • Check, sort and forward emails.
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary, business cards, name tags, etc.
  • Keeps updated records and files.
  • Manage the reservation systems.
  • Enters billing for special events.
  • Create spreadsheets for all special events.
  • Provides notary service for staff and members.
  • Assist with Greenpoint heating system.
  • Accepts and check deliveries for alcohol.
  • Provides name tags for staff.
  • Provide administrative support to all team members as necessary.
  • Services group needs.
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICAITONS:
  • Proven experience at Front Desk or/and Customer Service.
  • Knowledge of office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
  • Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Service Orientation.
