THE ROLE

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Usher/Ticket Taker for ASM Jacksonville. Responsible for patron entrance, seating, and guest services during all events of the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts and Ritz Theatre and Museum.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Require each person entering the facility have a valid ticket or credentials.
• Examine patron’s ticket for accuracy of date, proper facility and show time.
• Maintain position on post, taking tickets at a pace to keep patrons steadily moving into the facility.
• Utilize scanning equipment to process patron tickets and count ticket stubs received as necessary.
• Direct patrons to their assigned seating area.
• Provide assistance with emergency procedures as necessary.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must have attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
• Must have access to internet by computer or smart phone to access monthly schedule.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

• One-year prior experience in customer service preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time required.
• Must be able to climb stairs and move quickly from one area to another in a safe manner under restricted lighting.
• Constant reaching, standing, walking and stooping
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
• Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination
