Warehouse Shop Assembler (Part Time)

 

Job Duties:


  • Operates basic hand tools and common power tools ( power drills, reciprocating saws,hand grinders, etc.).  

  • Follows verbal/written instruction

  • Operates a propane torch, forklift/tractor, and heavy equipment.


  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.



  • Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations.



  • Paints merchandise if needed.



  • Lubricates parts as required.


  • Follows company safety guidelines and basic safety practices at all times

  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following the manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and notifying the lead when outside repairs are needed.  

  • Maintains excellent housekeeping practices to promote a safe, clean working environment.

  • Any and all other duties assigned by management


Qualifications for the position:


  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Previous experience or schooling in assembly or related field is strongly preferred.

  • Able to work independently and within a team.

  • Good work ethic.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and a focus on quality control.

  • Physical stamina, strength, dexterity, and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.

  • Possess a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline-driven environment.


Physical Expectations:

During the job, employees are regularly required to stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods, use their hands to handle or control objects, and perform tasks that involve reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching. The role involves frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, with occasional requirements to handle more with assistance or equipment. Employees must also be able to push and pull using various equipment. Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, are necessary. Verbal communication and the ability to hear are also required for safety and coordination. 

 

Notices:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment can get loud at times.
