Waste Disposal Attendant / CUMC-Milstein-CHONY

Part-Time / Rotating Shift

If you’re ready to play a key role in the care and caring of our patients, explore the following position:

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Waste Management, performs a variety of tasks to ensure that all medical, solid and recyclable waste is disposed of in the proper manner. This is a non-professional position. 

This part-time position is at CUMC campus, rotating shifts, with schedules on Weekends and Holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• Customer service experience 

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED.

• DOT certification to remove hazardous waste or to be completed within two months of hire.

• Certification to operate pallet jack and/or motorized pony cart or to be completed within two months of hire

• Ability to read and understand English.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
