Reporting & Insights Analyst/ Power BI Developer

Our client, is seeking an experienced Reporting & Insights Analyst who has good experience in Power BI to join their growing team in Melbourne on a daily rate contract. You will be responsible for the analysis of data generated by the business, in order to identify trends, issues and the root cause of these.


Key Deliverables:

• Work with stakeholders to identify key business questions and objectives and develop strategies to support them.
• Develop insightful modelling and reporting to track performance, benchmarking, forecasting and product analysis.
• Build, develop and enhance dashboards that provide key insights to facilitate faster decision making.
• Develop outcome-focused reporting solutions using PowerBI.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior management teams to drive strategic and operational decision-making

Operations:

• Work with stakeholders across the group to identify key business questions and objectives and develop strategies to support them
• Develop insightful modelling and reporting to track performance, benchmarking, forecasting and product analysis
• Derive actionable insights based on qualitative and quantitative data
• Build, develop and enhance dashboards that provide key insights to facilitate faster decision making
• Develop outcome-focused reporting solutions using Power BI
• Present insights and recommendations to senior management teams to drive strategic and operational decision-making
• Develop subject matter expertise in the various business areas

Key Skills Required:

• Proven experience in data analysis
• Experience in investigating and identifying root causes of issues
• 3+ Years of experience as an Insights Analyst or related field
• Strong SQL skills
• Strong experience with data information tools such as PowerBI and Snowflake
• Experience working with senior business leaders to gather reporting requirements
• Proven storytelling skills, with a strong background presenting insightful solutions
• Exceptional communicator: clarity in both written and verbal correspondence, with a knack for simplifying complex topics

What's on Offer?

• $800 p/d
• Initial 5-month contract.
• Port Melbourne/ Docklands location (3-4 days p/w in office).
