Junior drafter

Airswift is actively looking for Junior MicroStation Drafters for our client who are currently engaged in a significant infrastructure project in the East Pilbara region of WA. This project involves the preliminary engineering study of non-process infrastructure (NPI) for a prominent mining venture. To support this endeavor, experienced MicroStation Drafters/Designers are to join their study team commencing ASAP through late 2024. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in shaping the infrastructure layout and design for this groundbreaking project. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop detailed design drawings and models using MicroStation software.
• Translate conceptual designs and sketches into precise technical drawings and plans.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, specifications, and presentations.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to meet project deadlines and milestones.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality and efficiency.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for future reference.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Proven experience as a MicroStation Drafter/Designer, preferably in the infrastructure or mining sector.
• Proficiency in MicroStation software and other relevant design tools.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, standards, and practices.
• Familiarity with non-process infrastructure (NPI) projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

• This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with a preference for candidates based in Perth.
