North Eastern Health Centre is continuing to grow and we are looking for a fresh face to join our great team of friendly, passionate and professional receptionists.
We are a busy 6-day general practice seeking an experienced receptionist with great interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude, who is ready for an exciting new challenge. The role is casual, with a strong view for permanency for the right candidate.
Key criteria:
- strong patient/customer focus within a reception and/or administrative role
- able to multi-task, problem solve and work efficiently
- kind, calm and professional manner both face to face and over the phone
- excellent organisational and time management skills
- self-motivated and enthusiastic
- able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- computer literate and tech savvy
- knowledge of clinical software and Medicare (desirable)
- capacity to cover shifts across weekdays (7.45am-6.30pm) and Saturdays on a rotating roster (8.00am-12.30pm), including at short notice
- current first aid certificate as well as a national criminal history check
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- ensuring smooth patient flow through practice
- greeting patients, attending to busy phone lines, managing appointment bookings and overseeing waiting room
- creating and maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
- opening and closing practice, including consult and treatment rooms
- processing Medicare, DVA and private invoicing and receipting
- reconciling end-of-day EFTPOS and banking
- ensuring doctor’s rooms and common areas are tidy, clean and well stocked
- supporting clinical team in a range of administrative tasks, including emailing, filing, faxing, photocopying and scanning
- liaising with clinical team, peers, leadership, allied health professionals, visitors and patients and their families in a kind, compassionate and professional manner at all times
