Full-Time (X 2) Medical Receptionist – Pacific Cardiology

We are looking for someone to join our friendly and supportive team environment as a Full-time employee and immediate start!

Hours of work are between 8:15 am and 4:45 pm Monday to Friday.

Remuneration is under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award based on experience and above award for the right candidate.

Pacific Cardiology is a thriving and well reputed specialist practice committed to delivering top-notch patient care. We are seeking an experienced, matured-minded, committed and highly motivated individual to join our vibrant and welcoming team.

This position entails working onsite mainly at our HQ in Ormeau in a collaborative team environment. As the successful candidate, you will provide assistance to our esteemed group of Cardiologists and Specialists while providing vital administrative support to our front desk operations. Your outstanding communication skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency in medical terminology will be instrumental in maintaining the clinic’s efficiency and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

About the opportunity...
As the Medical Receptionist you will be the face of the company, greeting and assisting patients and offering exceptional customer service. 

Your responsibilities will involve but not limited to precise data entry using medical software (Best Practice), answering telephone enquiries, collecting and entering patient details, booking and rescheduling patient appointments, handling incoming and outgoing mail, adeptness in both Medicare and Private health billing, Medicare resubmissions, triage referrals for cardiologists & specialists, Medical objects referrals, scanning & linking patient correspondence, following up on test results, maintain and dispatch all diagnostic reports to referring GP’s. Effectively overseeing the dynamic pace of a medical practice as well as providing admin support to cardiologists and multi-disciplinary team of specialists whilst ensuring practice policies and procedures are correctly followed including medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently. Proficiency in multitasking, coupled with a proactive approach, is crucial to thriving in this role, especially during busy period. 

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 1 years’ experience as a Medical Receptionist within a Cardiology specialist center (Highly desirable).
  • Experience with Best Practice software (Required).
  • Medicare and private billings (Required).
  • Experience with Tempo, Piccolo & Medical objects (Highly desirable).
  • Work authorization for Australia (Required).
  • Advanced administrative skills (including faxing, scanning, filing, database management) and outstanding customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Clear and concise interpersonal/social communication skills and writing ability.
  • A customer/patient-focused, friendly, and welcoming manner – treating the patients of the practice with the highest degree of respect.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team environment.
  • Exemplary standard of personal integrity.
  • Reliability and ability to follow instructions.
