Project Scheduler/ Planner- Mining - Energetic Workplace

A global ASX mining and metals organization, they operate, develop, and have exploration programs across a wide range of commodities. They are known for their commitment to excellence and innovation, operating with a focus on safety, sustainability, and efficiency. Due to their recent restructure, they are looking for an experienced Project Planner/Scheduler to join their Front-End Engineering Team.
  
You will report to the engineering superintendent and work with a team of professional engineers. This contract role will allow you to work from home with occasional travel to site.
  
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather project information and update schedules accordingly.
• Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Monitor progress against the schedule and communicate any deviations or delays.
• Provide regular reports and analysis on project schedule performance.

  
Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Project Scheduler, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a large amount of information and provide accurate schedules for governing purposes.
