Transport Cross-Dock Operations Manager - Sydney Western Suburbs - Exciting Challenge

We're a global logistics provider with operations in Sydney's western suburbs and seeking an experienced Transport Cross-Dock Operations Manager to join our team.

In this newly-created role, you will:

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and CoR legislation, prioritising safety in all operations through regular audits.
• Manage team and operation against KPIs related to on-time dispatch, labour utilisation, costs, and safety. 
• Analyse data to enhance operational effectiveness and cost-efficiency.
• Manage cross-dock costs and promptly address operational challenges.
• Lead and support cross-dock supervisors and operators, fostering communication and collaboration with other teams. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.

About You

You have experience gained in a transport supervisory / management level role, ideally within a 3PL setting and:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Australian transport regulations and compliance standards. 
• Proven expertise in budgeting and cost management. 
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies. 
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities. 
• Familiarity with reading, comprehending, and interpreting enterprise agreements, along with supporting ER/IR issues.
