Marathon Electrical, provides Electrical, HVAC and Construction services for Commercial, Residential & Industrial in Gippsland Victoria. Our team consists of a diverse skilled team specialising in many areas. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Administration Manager to join our friendly team. Marathon Electrical is a company operating in the Gippsland REGION for nearly 40 years and is a fast paced and dynamic business, going through a rapid growth phase. Marathon Electrical is proactively supporting multiple future renewable energy projects and industry transitions in the Gippsland area. It is our hope to bring an enthusiastic and experienced Administration Manager on board to support and drive business development and growth. 

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Reporting to business director and working collaboratively with Electrical Operations Manager.
  • Managing and coordination of all administrative functions of the business
  • Develop and maintain strong client and business relationships.
  • Maintain existing contracts and explore new business opportunities, including guiding the team through contractual obligations, and project execution. 
  • Responsibly for all accounting functions of the business, such as payroll, BAS, tax, customer and supplier accounts, profit and loss monitoring and banking etc. 
  • Oversight and coordination of workplace OHS and supporting the safe functioning of the business, guiding the team through legislative and WorkSafe requirements, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees. This includes fleet management and liaising with The Electrical Operations Manager surrounding all electrical tools and equipment. 
  • Responsibility for all Human Resource functions for the administration team and the electrical team, with support of the Business Director and Electrical Operations Manager. 
  • Appropriate management of business documentation and storage processes.
  • Support and guide the Administration team to function effectively and navigate challenges. 
  • Model and promote great workplace culture. 

 

 

Qualifications & experience

  • Great leadership skills to support and guide the Administration and Operations team 
  • Close attention to detail and ability to accurately manage all business and administrative functions with respect of all legislative and licensing requirements.
  • Motivated to maintain and develop business relationships and enthusiasm to drive new opportunities. 
  • Experience in Administration Leadership, Accounting and Human Resource functions. 
  • Desired experience, but not essential; in relevant Electrical/Construction industry, with knowledge of relevant legislation surrounding this industry.  
  • Background in finance industry could be of an advantage.
  • Dynamic and adaptive responses to business and client needs.  
  • Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and co-ordinate tasks.
  • Ability to manage and navigate great customer services responses from the team.
