OUR ROLE

As our new Accountant and Reporting Analyst , you will join our Finance team and work in partnership our esteemed Chief Financial Officer to deliver key accounting and financial reporting activities to xAmplify. Your day to day will vary week to week, but you will be involved in some key activities including:

  • Manage our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Manage month end and billing activities
  • Prepare and process our teams monthly payroll
  • Undertake the reconciliation and processing of monthly expenses and company credit cards
  • Provision of financial information and reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify, verify and analyse variances between budgeted or projected and actual financial results, and the associated impacts on key financial activities
  • Preparing and delivering accurate periodic and ad-hoc financial reports, and support the preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Support the preparation of internal budgets
  • Management of Federal and State tax compliance obligations
  • Assist the CFO with other key activities as required, including budgets and board related reports

ELIGIBILITY & LOCATION

We are seeking candidates with full Australian working rights - citizenship, permanent residency or applicable visa. We have office locations in Canberra ACT and Sydney, NSW so are open to reviewing candidates in either location.

This is a full-time role, however part time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting (this can be in progress or complete)
  • Minimum 3 years experience undertaking balance sheets, journals, cash flow, financial statements, reporting and payroll
  • Demonstrated high skill level of MS Excel including formulas, v-look-up’s and pivot tables
  • Previous experience with Xero is desirable but not essential, as you’ve no doubt worked on other financial systems before so can apply these skills
  • Excellent communication skills – including written, verbal and presentation
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to think laterally and propose solutions
  • A high level of organisation, time management with the ability to work proactively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Self-starting, with the ability to drive your own actions, whilst also working as part of a team
