Lava Blue is moving towards public offering in the ASX, has a nation leading Predictive Research into Speciality Materials (PRiSM) centre in Redlands in South East Brisbane, and collaborates closely with partners including the School of Chemistry and Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology.

About the Opportunity

This is a new role that you will be able to shape with Lava Blue. As Chief of Staff, you will foster partnerships - internal and external, and drive organisational and Board efficiency and execution. You are the connector, helping make Lava Blue’s vision and strategies a reality, overseeing core internal communication processes and seeking continuous improvement.

• You will help connect our people to purpose, facilitate the Lava Blue culture, and foster external relationships including with government and granting bodies.
• You will oversee day-to-day non-manufacturing operations in Brisbane, facilitate Board decisions and leverage Board expertise, identify grant opportunities and co-ordinate grant and funding applications, and pull everything seamlessly together.

Is this the role for you?

• Diverse work locations - You will be based in Brisbane and energised to work with the team at our PRiSM facility in Redlands, South-East Queensland. As part of this new appointment Lava Blue intends to open an office close to the Brisbane Gardens Campus of QUT, where you will also spend your time. Quarterly travel to Canberra will be involved and as the role evolves, you will have the opportunity for some travel to capital cities in Australia.
• Senior leader experience - You will have solid science and commercial experience. You will have a demonstrated track record at a senior level supporting people and operations. Previous experience supporting a CEO or entrepreneur, or a role in an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, General Manager or similar role is advantageous.

The Benefits
