Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Nursing - Psych, Forensic & Correctional Health (Healthcare & Medical) Government - State (Government & Defence) An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist, Mental Health, to join the team at Broome Regional Health Campus – Kimberley. Please see attached flyer for further details .   To be successful, you will have... Eligibility for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Demonstrated advanced clinical practice with knowledge and skills in the provision of acute mental health care. Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership in a clinical setting. Alibility to implement and evaluate nursing protocols pertaining to standards of practice, quality management and accreditation guidelines. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated experience of staff supervision. Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of current nursing trends and issues in the delivery of mental health care. Position Profile: Responsible for the supervision of Broome Mental Health Unit (BMHU) and consultation regarding admissions, ensures appropriate staffing levels and managers daily nursing roster. Provides specialist mental health nursing knowledge and skills in the deliverance of culturally appropriate care to mental health inpatients. Acts as a clinical resource to staff working in BMHU and in other areas in Broome Hospital. Deputises for the Clinical Nurse Manager as required.
