You can learn more about JSA on our website www.jobsandskills.gov.au.  The Role The Director of Employer Recruitment Survey and Analysis Section manages a team that conducts the Recruitment Experiences and Outlook Survey (REOS), undertakes analysis and produces associated outputs. The survey obtains key labour market information on employers’ recruitment activity, recruitment difficulty, staffing outlook and a range of other employer perspectives on the labour market. The team oversees the whole survey process, including content and questionnaire development, collecting and cleaning the data, quality assurance and data custodianship; as well as undertaking survey analysis and producing regular publications, such as the monthly Recruitment Insights and Spotlight reports.  The section also publishes analysis on a range of topics to inform government policy and particularly to provide information on how job seekers can improve their employment prospects.  The team is diverse and includes economists, data analysts, and a call centre. The work is also diverse, and requires survey experience, a good knowledge of issues affecting the labour market and the economy, and the ability to produce high quality analysis. The team is located in Canberra and Brisbane. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities of the EL2 level role include: Deliver an ongoing survey of employers across Australia. Oversee survey processes, methodology, content, data quality, and output. Ensure data privacy, security and procedures are managed in accordance with guidelines and legislation.  Oversee regular survey analysis and the more in-depth research program. Incorporate information and findings from other data sources, including from within Jobs and Skills Australia and the ABS, to provide a picture of how the labour is performing is essential.  Achieve results in a fast paced and dynamic environment, including overseeing the publication of a range of outputs, including short snapshots, regular reports, online tools and dashboards, and in-depth reports.  Lead a large and diverse team and foster teamwork and build a shared sense of purpose.  Provide strategic direction and advice on labour market issues within the team, branch and across JSA. Provide support and advice to other areas in JSA and the department on employer survey issues.  Undertake stakeholder consultation and manage relationships to ensure survey content and techniques are current, appropriate and well targeted.
