About the Role :

The PGA Golf Service Centre is based at the Australian Golf Centre, Sandy Golf Links. The business provides services such as golf registration and check in, golf retail and club fitting to the general public. Sandy Golf Links has approximately 80,000 rounds of golf played per year on its newly redesigned layout. The Australian Golf Centre at Sandy Golf Links is the new administrative facility of Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia.

Reporting to the PGA Golf Service Centre Manager, the Golf Service Centre Attendant will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong working relationships with the Sandy Golf Links management and staff.

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

• Assisting with day to day operations of the Golf Service Centre
• Opening and closing procedures
• POS reconciliation
• Assist patrons with check-in and golf registration
• Provide golf equipment and merchandise expertise to customers
• Maintain the Golf Service Centre to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Follow opening and closing cleaning procedures
• Regular dusting and cleaning of merchandise
• Regular cleaning of the shop windows
• Assist the Golf Service Centre Manager with merchandise presentation and pricing
• Ensure exceptional service to customers at all times
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times
• Deliver a consultative sales approach to customers

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Experience in a customer service environment
• Good time management skills (punctual and reliable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to navigate basic IT systems
• Proven ability to work within a complex and diverse range of stakeholders
• Self-motivated
• Enthusiastic & passionate about golf
• Able to work as part of a team
